Stunell Celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations

On Monday afternoon, local MP, Andrew Stunell will join the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations on behalf of the people of Stockport.

Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell said:

"I am delighted to join the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations.

"The United Nations plays a critical role in our world today. Its work to advance international peace and security, promote development and uphold human rights is essential.

"Bush and Blair's messy war in Iraq has highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong and effective United Nations."
